I have a lot of patients I see regularly for preventative care adjustments to improve their overall health. Health is really about the journey. There are multiple areas that have to add up and work together. Chiropractic is just one piece to the puzzle. If you are eating a high inflammatory diet, not active, sit at a desk all day, stressed out, using products high in toxins, not detoxing regularly are all examples of high stress to your body. Your body is going to let you know by not feeling well.
I am always talking about “your nervous system.” It controls everything in your body. It senses pain which is a lot of the time why people come to my office. There is so much more going on underneath than feeling pain or tight muscles. It controls your organs which control every function in your body.
Regular adjustments helps keep your body in its best shape. It helps your body adapt to daily life stressors. When life is stressful or not the healthiest, its time to make it a priority for your health by doing your regular adjustments, regular massages, adding movement into your day, eating nourishing foods, detoxing regularly, prioritizing rest, taking your supplements and many more to even try to list. Don’t let your body feel so crappy before you start to prioritize your health.

How Can we Look at Your Health with Nervous System Scans & the Nervoscope at Each Visit?
In the pictures to the right both are showing your nervous system. The top one is the full picture and how it supplies to your organs. The bottom one is one tiny little nerve and how it senses everything in your body. It has 3 parts to it. The motor part which supplies function to your muscles. The autonomic part which supplies to your organs. The sensory part which is the smallest portion and that senses pain. The sensory part of the nerve is less than 10%. This means your nerve can be irritated before you feel it. We are so proud of science and where it has come because we can measure (with the nervoscope) the irritation before you feel it. That is where you get to true preventative care. We measure your health and your main area that needs to be adjusted with the nervoscope at each visit and with our nervous system scans on your first visit and follow ups if needed. It gives us a good picture of your overall health and not just going off of your symptoms.
I take so much pride in the care that I really provide for my patients. Each adjustment that I give matters so much more than getting out of pain. I know thats why most are here at first. When you get a specific adjustment it is making your health and life better. The adjustment puts your health to go on a positive health journey and not a degenerative, declining health journey, that many people in our society have. Some chiropractors will adjust misalignments and don’t measure the nervous system, but I have found and experienced myself the results that you can get when you measure with the nerve irritation and pressure and information that is getting you to the primary cause of your issue.
With all of that said, I just took an awesome seminar from ICPA on my nervous system scans. There’s so much meaning behind your health and your nervous system and how you can improve it. Your bodies are amazing and they always want to improve health but when they’re hindered where the nervous system isn’t working the way it should that’s when your health doesn’t have the ability to reach its true potential.
There’s one thing about health and perspective on it. None of us appreciate where our health is at until it starts to decline or interrupt your normal day. Take time for you by scheduling your regular visits to stay healthy!
Blackstone Tortellini Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 (12 oz) bags of frozen cheese tortellini
- 2 (14 oz) packages Polska Kielbasa
- 8 oz Fresh Mushrooms, Sliced
- 8 oz Bag Fresh Spinach
- Cherry Tomatoes, Sliced In Half (Optional)
- Fresh Mozzarella (Optional)
- Creamy Italian Seasoning (Optional)
Instructions
- Take tortellini out of the freezer.
- Slice kielbasa, if you would like it a little crispy, slice it on the thinner side.
- Clean and slice your mushrooms.
- Preheat your Blackstone to medium heat.
- Put your kielbasa on the Blackstone first.
- Then put your tortellini on the grill. It will be partially defrosted and that is fine.
- We use avocado oil to help not stick to the blackstone.
- After cooking a few minutes, add your mushrooms on.
- Start combining/mixing all of the ingredients as they cook.
- Add in spinach.
- You can add some halved cherry tomatoes.
- Add some fresh mozzarella balls right at the end and poured creamy Italian seasoning to top off before serving.
- Remove from heat when your kielbasa and tortellini are starting to brown.
You can make this with any kind of meat and any vegetable that you are feeling like having. You can add multiple vegetables as well. We did shrimp with our sausage and asparagus, mushrooms, onions, peppers, cauliflower when I made it over the weekend and everyone picked their kinds to mix their own because theres always that picky eater that won’t eat a certain veggie.
