Oil Phase
1 c. coconut oil
1 c. sweet almond oil
1 c. emulsifying wax
1/4 c. steric acid
Water Phase
6 1/2 c. distilled water
1/2 cup vegetable glycerin
Heat both separately until hot – but not boiling. Pour water mixture in an electric mixer, start mixer. Gradually pour in the oil mixture to blend. Mix until it starts to cool and begins to thicken. Then add 4-6 drops tea tree oil for a preservative. Add essential oil of choice to scent. Pour lotion in containers to let cool.
