The underlying problem does not just go away if you stop feeling it. It stays there and actually gets worse.
Corrective Chiropractic care is no a just come in and lay on the table get adjusted in 2 min kind of thing. We check your spine for irritation to the nervous system, we pull you xrays up at each visit and find the underlying area to get adjusted.
We see our spine start to get unstable through our posture. Everyone always says to me during our postural analysis “Oh mine is horrible.” But why is it horrible? Do you want to correct it before it gets really bad? You also can’t force good posture on a spine that is unstable.
It is hard to put this area of our health first and see chiropractic as a preventative part of healthcare. Pain is usually what pushes people to finally bite the bullet and start coming in for care. Or if they stop for a short period due to busy schedules they regret it later when their body starts screaming at them.
Your nervous system controls EVERYTHING in your body. It is how you feel pain, how your muscles work and how your organs work. AKA how your body functions. The spine puts pressure on nerves when they are out of place and the eventually leads to decreased function. You can’t always feel when an area is out of place though. That is why we love corrective chiropractic and what it offers with preventative care for your health.
How Strong is Your Foundation?

When we talk about the foundation of your spine, I am referring to your pelvis. As you can see in the picture, on the left side is a pelvis that is normal and on the right side is a pelvis that is not level. You can also see that the uneven pelvis causes the rest of the spine to shift out of normal spinal alignment due to the uneven foundation.
Think about every step you would take when you are walking and how much extra stress that could put on your ankles, knees, hips and spine if you that uncorrected. I would guess your body would start to wear down.
Not having a strong foundation can lead to a myriad of different secondary conditions or also called symptoms. We explain secondary conditions on the next page!
Correcting your structural abnormalities will relieve pressure on the discs, relieving pressure on your nerves, thus relieving your secondary conditions. Corrective chiropractic adjustments not only help you feel better but help you function better.
An unstable foundation in the spine is the most common reason to why your weight will not be even. An unstable foundation is an underlying cause of abnormal posture. Ignoring postural changes can affect your overall health and set you up for neck and shoulder strain, back pain and even joint damage. You may dismiss the discomfort for a while, but it’s your body’s way of getting your attention.
Having poor posture may lead to aches and pains, but having it over the long term is when you get real damage. Long term foundation issues if left uncorrected, will lead to these secondary conditions listed in picture below.
