Happy 3 year Anniversary to Balanced Health!!!

February 1 marks our 3 year anniversary for Balanced Health Chiropractic! Oh my how time does fly by!

I appreciate all of our fantastic patients who make their health and well-being a priority in their lives and give us the opportunity to help them. We look forward to another year of helping all of you and continue to grow our Balanced Health family!

Below is a fun before/after picture of our space.

Not only has our space appearance changed, our mindset and drive to help all of our patients not only feel better but get their bodies functioning better.

Are you looking for different opinions about your health?

Have you dealt with the same nagging issue over and over again?  What would you do with your day/life if you didn’t have to deal with it anymore!!??⠀

Health is so much more than how you feel. It is about how your body functions! Are you able to move like you were once able to? Are you able to do all the hobbies that you love? Can you sit down and play with your kids or grandkids without being in pain? Or can you concentrate all day at work without having a headache or mid back pain? Do you have enough energy to get through your day?

Not all chiropractors are alike. Although they go by the same name, chiropractors today differ greatly. As a result, when patients go to different chiropractors they get different opinions, care provided, and results. This can be both confusing and frustrating. Let me tell you a little bit about what we do and our unique approach to health!

Here at our office, we don’t want to only focus on getting rid of your symptoms we are focused on —> CORRECTIVE CARE!!! We do a detailed exam and specific adjustments to correct the primary issue in your body causing you issues. Once these primary areas are corrected your body starts to not only feel better but function better!!

It’s not always about a quick fix. It’s about taking care of yourself now so your future self can continue to do the things you love to do. You get to really enjoy daily activities and hobbies that you were once unable. You get to really reach your true health potential and enjoy your new self!!

Patients not only feel better but their bodies are functioning at their best! We take pride in our detailed and specific care! ⠀

Grilled Chicken Burrito Bowls

Ingredients

Chili Lime Chicken:

  • 1 lb. Chicken Breast
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 Limes (juiced)
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Toppings are my favorite part!

  • avocado, tomato, red onion, corn, jalopenos, black beans

Pico de Gallo:

  • 3-4 Roma Tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup White or Red Onion (finely diced)
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro
  • 1/2 Jalapeno (diced)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2-3 Ears of Corn or 1 cup Frozen corn (cooked)
  • 1 cup Black Beans
  • 2 cups Rice or more depending on preference
  • 1 Jalapeno sliced
  • 1 Avocado

Instructions

  1. In a large ziploc bag, place chicken breast, olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin and salt. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2-4 hours or overnight.
  2. Heat grill to medium heat.
  3. Remove chicken from marinate and place on hot grill. Cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until chicken is no longer pink. Time is an estimate as it depends on the thickness of the chicken breast. If roasting ears of corn, add them to grill for a several minutes. Remove from grill and remove kernels with knife. After grilling, let rest for at least 5 minutes to let juices seep into chicken.
  4. Slice on the diagonal.

To make pico de gallo:

  1. In small bowl, combine tomatoes, onion, cilantro, jalapeno and salt.
  2. Make rice according to package instructions.
  3. May want to heat up black beans until warm.
  4. Make cilantro ranch dressing and homemade guacamole, if you desire.
  5. Layer in a bowl — rice, beans, grilled chicken, pico de gallo, avocado, roasted corn, and cilantro ranch dressing.
